Our Annual Photography Contest

Every June, the Sackville Photography Club ends its season with an exciting and much-loved tradition—our Annual Photo Contest. This fun, member-only event celebrates creativity, growth, and the diverse talents within our vibrant photography community.

The contest is open to all current members, no matter your skill level. Beginners and seasoned pros are equally welcome. It’s a great chance to show off your work, try new ideas, and grow your confidence behind the lens. Each year, we feature a fresh set of rotating categories to keep things creative and inspiring.

Members explore everything from dramatic landscapes to soulful portraits, moody monochromes to action-packed shots. Macro photography, wildlife, street scenes—there’s always something new to capture. All entries are judged anonymously to keep things fair and focused on the image itself.

We award 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category, plus the prestigious Best in Show. Winners earn more than just bragging rights—they also receive recognition at our final June meeting. Winning photos are showcased on our website, social media, and sometimes even printed thanks to our sponsors. But this contest isn’t just about winning—it’s about how we grow as photographers.

We celebrate creativity, curiosity, and the courage to try something different with every frame. Whether you shoot with a DSLR, mirrorless camera, or phone, your perspective matters.
