The Sackville Photography Club is a vibrant, inclusive community of over 100 passionate photographers based in Halifax, Nova Scotia and surrounding areas including Dartmouth, Bedford, and Lower Sackville. Since our founding in 1988, we’ve welcomed photographers of all skill levels — from beginners picking up a camera for the first time to experienced professionals looking to stay inspired. Our shared goal is simple: to learn, grow, and have fun through the art of photography.
We’re more than just a photography group — we’re a creative family that believes in the power of collaboration, encouragement, and lifelong learning. Members enjoy the opportunity to share their work, gain constructive feedback, and explore new techniques and styles in a friendly, supportive environment. Whether you’re interested in landscapes, portraits, wildlife, macro, or street photography, the Sackville Photography Club is a great place to connect with like-minded individuals who share your passion.
Our club meets on the first and third Wednesday of each month, from September to June. Meetings are held in a hybrid format, allowing members to join us in person at Acadia Hall (650 Sackville Drive) or tune in from anywhere via Zoom. Doors open at 6:30 PM, and meetings begin at 7:00 PM. Each session includes engaging presentations, guest speakers, photo challenges, and club updates designed to keep your creativity flowing.
New faces are always welcome! Guests are invited to attend a meeting before joining to see what we’re all about. Whether you’re looking for photography workshops in Nova Scotia, a Halifax photography club, or just a friendly space to grow your skills, we’d love to have you. Visit our Meeting Schedule page for details on upcoming meetings and activities.
