Shutter & Share: The Monthly Member Showcase

Strike a pose, frame the moment, and focus on fun—welcome to the Sackville Photography Club Monthly Showcase!

From September to June, we invite our members to participate in this inspiring monthly tradition. Each month features a brand-new theme designed to spark creativity, explore different styles, and keep your shutter finger ready. Themes change monthly and range across genres—from portraits to landscapes, from street scenes to macro magic.

As a member, you can submit up to five images per month. Better yet, if you’re feeling a little camera-shy, you can even submit anonymously. No names, no pressure—just great photos. This isn’t a critique session; instead, it’s a celebration of creativity in a relaxed, supportive space.

Moreover, the Showcase isn’t about competition—it’s about expression. It’s your chance to share your work, connect with others, and stay motivated throughout the season. Whether you’re a seasoned photographer or just figuring out what “aperture” means, you’re more than welcome.

Additionally, the Showcase is a great way to see how others interpret the same theme. One subject, many visions—every lens tells a different story. You’ll come away inspired, encouraged, and maybe even ready to try something new next month.

Above all, this is your space to shine. There’s no judging, no ranking, and definitely no “ISO-splaining.” Just your creativity, on display for our amazing community.

So grab your gear, charge those batteries, and capture something that speaks to you. Then, share it. Because every frame you submit helps shape the story of our club.

Monthly Theme – Submission Guide

You can submit up to five images for each monthly theme. For sizing, landscape photos should be 1920 pixels on the long side, and portrait photos should be 1080 pixels on the long side.

If you’re not sure how to resize, we’re happy to help! Label each image with your name (first and last) and image number—like “John Doe 1,” “John Doe 2,” and so on.

Our goal is participation, so if you’d rather stay anonymous, just mention that in your email. Send your submissions to: showcase@sackvillephotoclub.com.
