Meeting: September 7, 2022

THERE IS A GREAT DEAL OF INFORMATION TO SHARE BEFORE OUR FIRST MEETING OF THE SEASON, THUS WE ASK THAT EVERYONE PLEASE TAKE A FEW MOMENTS TO READ THIS INITIAL CORRESPONDENCE FOR THE 2022-2023 SEASON.  WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK  ALL MEMBERS AND OUR PARTNERS FOR THEIR PATIENCE AS WE NAVIGATE THE TRANSITION BACK TO IN-PERSON MEETINGS AT ACADIA HALL. IN PERSON MEETINGS, PAIRED WITH ELEMENTS OF A VIRTUAL MEETING WILL REPRESENT OUR BEST EFFORT FOR A HYBRID FORMAT MOVING FORWARD. 
Welcome back to the Sackville Photography Club, as we begin the SPC’s 34th season this coming Wednesday evening!

We hope everyone has enjoyed the summer months are are very much looking forward to seeing everyone either ONLINE or IN-PERSON as we implement a hybrid format to our meetings.

We will be starting our season out with an introductory meeting, filled with familiar content and ensuring that the membership is familiar with what can be expected in our program this season.

Our meeting will START AT 7:30 PM for this Wednesday ONLY! – Doors will open at 6:30PM.
For those who have not had the opportunity to Join us in person, we meet at Acadia Hall in Lower Sackville

In addition to SPC News and regular Business, our first meeting of the 2022-2023 season will feature:

Our Program Coordinator Ian Proctor – updating us on elements of the program and the monthly themes for this season.

Our Field Trip Coordinator Justin Crosby will chat about the plans surrounding field trips this season.

SPC President Chris Briand will introduce the key features and activities of the SPC.

PLEASE NOTE: CANTEEN: The Canteen will only be offering limited service during this meeting as we find our bearings with the recent renovations to Acadia Hall. MEMBERSHIP REGISTRATION: Please continue to register and PAY for your SPC Membership renewals ONLINE as we will not be accepting cash payments or direct registrations at this meeting. MEMBERSHIP FORM MASKS & COVID RESTRICTIONS: As provincial restrictions have ended we will not be enforcing the use of Masks or other health related measures, however we recommend the use of MASKS while attending the in person meetings at Acadia Hall. 50/50 DRAW: Don’t forget your change! – Our regular 50/50 Draw will take place after the break! Funds raised from the 50/50 ticket sales go toward the SPC’s Annual “Adopt-a-Family” Campaign that supports a local family during the holiday season.  Tickets are $1 each or 3 tickers for $2.

GENERAL INFO:
Our meeting place is Acadia Hall – 650 Sackville Drive in Lower Sackville.
General Meetings are held on the first and third Wednesday from September to June with many other field trips, mentoring sessions and workshops planned throughout the year.

A Zoom meeting invite will also be posted as an EVENT in the Members Facebook group.
We encourage membership participation in meetings – consider submitting a Member Slideshow or a Talk on “How I Got the Shot” presentation or even a 10 – 15 minute Tech Talk.
