SPC Meeting October 21st 2026

Who says you need a big camera and a bag full of lenses to make great photographs? Sometimes, the best camera is the one flying through the air… or the one sitting in your pocket!
For our next SPC general meeting, our very own Vice President, Mark Klaamas, will be taking us on a look at photography with drones and camera phones. Mark will share his experience and ideas for getting creative with two tools that have become surprisingly capable photography platforms.
Whether you’re already a drone photographer, someone who pulls out their phone whenever the moment presents itself, or you’re just curious about what these little cameras can actually do, this should be a fun and informative evening. We’ll look at different ways to approach photography from a new perspective — quite literally in the case of drones!
So come out, bring your questions, share your own experiences, and maybe discover that you don’t always need to carry a camera bag the size of a small suitcase to make a great image.
This meeting is open to members of the Sackville Photography Club. If you’re not a member but would like to join us as a guest and see what we’re all about, we’d love to have you! Just email membership@sackvillephotoclub.com and ask about being our guest for the evening.
Come for the drones, stay for the smartphone photography… and leave with a few new ways to get your camera off the ground!
