Field Trip – Lady Slippers

Pink Lady Slippers may be easy to find, but on this outing we’ll be looking for some of the less common varieties — Yellow Lady Slippers, Dragon’s Mouth orchids, and Showy Lady Slippers. These are not the kinds of flowers you’ll stumble across in your local park, making this a special opportunity for both discovery and photography.
This field trip is also a great chance to practice macro techniques, including focus stacking, to help capture sharp, detailed images of these delicate blooms.
The outing will take place at the Meadow Pond Recreation Site, located along Highway 14 near Windsor.
