Field Trip – Dartmouth Bridge Walk

September 13 @ 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Grab your camera, lace up your shoes, and join us for a little photographic adventure!

For this SPC field trip, we’ll start on the Dartmouth side of the Macdonald Bridge and make our way across the harbour on foot. Along the way, there will be plenty of opportunities to photograph the bridge, Halifax Harbour, the city skyline, architecture, boats, and all the little details that tend to get overlooked when we’re busy trying to get somewhere.

Once we make it across, we’ll continue through Dartmouth Commons and make our way to Alderney Landing, where we’ll hop aboard the ferry and enjoy a completely different perspective of the harbour as we make our way back across.

This is a great opportunity to get out with fellow SPC members, explore some familiar places from a different perspective, and—most importantly—make some photographs along the way. You don’t need to be an expert, and there’s no particular type of photography you need to shoot. Bring the camera you enjoy using and photograph whatever catches your eye.

There will be bridges. There will be boats. There will be views. There will probably be someone stopping every 30 seconds because “Wait! Look at that light!” And, of course, there will be photography.

Come for the walk, stay for the photographs, and try not to make us wait while you photograph the same seagull for 15 minutes.

This field trip is open exclusively to current members of the Sackville Photography Club.
