About the Sackville Photography Club

Founded in 1988, the Sackville Photography Club is based in Sackville, near Halifax, Nova Scotia. We are one of the most active photography clubs in Atlantic Canada. As a result, we attract photographers from all across Nova Scotia. Our club is welcoming, creative, and full of passionate members.

We welcome beginners who are just starting their journey. But we also support experienced photographers looking to stay inspired. Whether you love landscapes, portraits, macro, or wildlife—there’s something for you. Even if you shoot astrophotography or street scenes, you’ll find your place here.

We meet twice a month from September to June. Each meeting offers something new, engaging, and educational. For example, we host guest speakers from across Canada. We also showcase member presentations and monthly challenges.

In addition, we run hands-on workshops, field trips, and photo walks. These events help members build skills and make connections. We even have gear talks, how-to nights, and creative contests.

Between meetings, our members stay connected online. We offer a private Facebook group for sharing photos and feedback. It’s a friendly and supportive space for all Nova Scotia photographers.

The Sackville Photography Club is more than just a photo club in Halifax. It’s a growing community of creative people. We’re here to inspire, support, and have fun—together.

If you’re looking for a Halifax photography club, we invite you to join us. Come to a meeting and see what we’re all about!
