It is May!!!!! I am not sure about the rest of you, but I have been loving these warm(er) days! Almost June bug season….which is terrifying.
I hope you have been enjoying the warmer days, by the photos shared in our Facebook group the Weekday Wanderers seem to be soaking up the weather!!
This week our guest speaker is David Grandy. David Grandy has been a professional photographer and photojournalist since the 1970’s. His interests include sports and landscape photography, and lives with his family in Cole Harbour. This week David will be sharing his tips, tricks and general “how to’s” for photographing fireworks, just in time for the May long weekend which Mark has kindly reminded me that HRM by-laws state no fireworks for Victoria Day, so with that….this presentation is just in time for Canada Day.

Just a friendly reminder that our monthly showcase theme for May is “Macro”.
Submissions are due Sunday May 12th at 11:59pm.
• Submit up to 5 images for each monthly theme
- Sizing:
- Landscape Orientation – 1920 pixels on the long side
- Portrait Orientation 1080 pixels on the long side
- (Not sure how to do this?, we can help!)
- Label your image(s) = Your Name & Image Number e.g. J Doe 1, J Doe 2, etc….
